KOHIMA, August 29 (MExN): The Merhülietsa Local Board, Ward No.18 Sanitation Drive was launched today by Sahu Yiese, HoD, Printing and Stationary. In his speech, he dwelt in the history of Merhülietsa and said it used to be a picnic spot 4-5 years back while also stating that it was a beautiful valley.
He recalled how he admired the valley and expressed pride to be a resident of the colony and went on to state that although, it comprises of people from different dialectical backgrounds, he urged the gathering to have a sense of belonging in order to further develop the colony. He also impressed upon that substantial development will come about when there is cooperation among its members. He also appreciated the colony youth and to keep up with its activities.
Meanwhile, noting that the youth of the colony will be celebrating its silver jubilee soon, he asked them to contribute towards making the celebration a success.
Earlier, I.Rongsen Jamir, Chairman MLB chaired the function wile Pastor Vizolie Zhale said the invocation. The Sanitation drive was launched in the presence of Er. Y.Chuba Ao, Zenito Yano, R.F Lotha, Dr.Keyiekhrie Kire, Kaholi Yeptho, K.Neibu Sekhose, Dr.R.Zinyü, Moa Aier, GB Merhülietsa, Thinohe-u GB Merhülietsa and Tsenchamo Khuvung, GB Lower Agri respectively.
