50th Death Anniversary of Dr. Imkongliba

Mokokchung, August 23 (DIPR): Observing the 50th Death Anniversary of Dr. Imkongliba Ao, a program will be held at Town Hall, Mokokchung on August 24. The program will be graced by Dr. SC Jamir, former Governor of Goa and Maharashtra. Dr. Jamir will be speaking on the topic “My association with Dr. Imkongliba”. Short speeches will be delivered by Ao Senden and AKM. Presentation of a musical play “By His Grace” by CTC and “In memory of Dr. Imkongliba” by family members will be the highlight of the program.

ADC & ERO Mon informs

Dimapur, August 23 (MExN): The Additional Deputy Commissioner & Electoral Registration Officer, Mon Kuko Mero has informed to all the electors that the designated Photography Location (DPL) has been set up at the office of the Assistant Election Officer (AEO) Mon, for capturing the image of those electors whose image could not be capture during the Phase I and Phase II of the photography campaign 2011. All the “left out genuine electors” are requested to report to the AEO Office Mon along with document for proof of identity and necessary action. The designated Photography Location would be in operation with effect from August 23.

AZSU AMN directs

Dimapur, August 23 (MExN): As per Resolution No. 7, of the 1st General Dimki of All Zeliangrong Students’ Union-Assam, Manipur & Nagaland (AMN) held on August 20 at Julukie, Nagaland, the Union appeal to all the academic institutions (both Government and private) in all the Zeliangrong inhabited areas to uniformly observe the 80th Death Anniversary of Haipou Jadonang on August 29 in a grand and befitting manner with full  homage by offering floral tribute, silent prayer, speech on his life and history of the Martyr, Haipou Jadonang. It is further informed that failure to observe the same shall be taken as a dishonor to the revered leader and also insult to the Zeliangrong community. This was informed in a press release issued by All Zeliangrong Students’ Union (AMN) President, Pamei Tingenlung.

Change of SSUD buffet venue

Dimapur, August 23 (MExN): The Sangtam Students’ Union Dimapur (SSUD) has informed that the venue of the buffet at Purana Bazar Sangtam Baptist Church Dimapur has been shifted to Imliyanger Memorial Centre (IMC) hall, Fellowship Colony due to unavoidable circumstances. Chukitong Range GBs union formed

Dimapur, August 23 (MExN): The Chukitong Range GBs held a meeting on August 20 at Chukitong and formed GBs union to build a common platform of the GBs of Chukitong range. The union in a press note informed that the house elected Rungchum Kikon, chairman, Npyingo Kikon, vice chairman, Nkhanimo Ezung, secretary, Nchumbemo Ezung, joint secretary, Samuel Kikon Finance Secretary, Tsumomo Kikon, treasurer, SE Kikon union advisor and the GBs of the six villages as executive members. The Union resolved the tenure of the office bearers for a period of five years.

Diphupar ‘B’ Village meeting

Dimapur, August 23 (MExN): Diphupar ‘B’ Village Council, Dimapur has scheduled a public general meeting for approval of Audit Action Committee report for the year 2002-2010. A press note issued by L.P Therie, head GB cum caretaker Chairman and N.Alem, GB, informed that the meeting will be held on August 27, 2011 from 10:00 am onwards at village local ground. The public is invited to attend the said meeting.

Prog on SHG credit linkage

Dimapur, August 23 (MExN): The Nagaland State co-operative bank Ltd organised a programme on SHG credit linkage at Kiphire on August 17 which was organised to mould the rural people of Kiphire district towards banking fold and to acquire for credit worthiness to avail credit facilities available with the bank.  A press note informed that 135 SHGs from various villagers attended the programme. Resource person Nodal Officer (MFC) VK Disong shared about proper implementation of micro finance programme by utilizing own capital through inter lending among the members with minimum interest and make themselves mature to avail bank loan in order to boost their socio economic conditions.  The programme was chaired by Washisola, TM Micro Finance Cell of NSCB, Rev S I Meren, KTABC pronounced the invocation while L Tsanio Sangtam, BoD Kiphire exhorted the participants.
