CCLC general meeting Aug 27
Kohima August 24 (MExN): Chokri Chakhesang Literature Committee (CCLC) has convened general meeting of all the office bearers of the CCLC on 27th August at its office building, upper Bayavü at 10.00 am. A press release issued by its general secretary (admn) Dr. Zokho Venuh has requested all the officials of th Executive council, core committee, Chokri Chakhesang Gospel Translation Committee and members of all sub-committees to attend the meeting without fail. It added that the main agenda during the meeting shall be the approval of the 2nd edition of the Chokri Guidebook for publication.
TYC Music training classes
Dimapur, August 24 (MExN): The Thunder Youth Club (TYC) has informed that the annual 2nd batch for the music training classes will be imparted without admission fees from September 2011 onwards. Forms will be issued from August 23 and last date for submission is August 31 and the seats are limited. TYC, President Watitoshi Jamir in a press release stated that the aims and objectives of the club is to uplift the youngsters in the field of music and ‘only the serious interested learner’ can come forward and take the course. Wokha LFA advocacy campaign
Dimapur, August 24 (MExN): The LFA Nagaland will be conducting one day advocacy campaign on HIV and AIDS at the DC Conference Hall, Wokha on August 6, 2011 at 10:00 am onwards. A press note issued by Robin Ezung, president, Centre for Youth & Social Action, Wokha stated that Minister for Agriculture Dr. Chumben Murry will be addressing the gathering. All the department officials, VCM, VDB, NGOs, Schools, Colleges and leaders of different political parties within 38 A/C are invited to attend the said programme.
Nagaland social welfare officers’ conference today
Kohima, August 24 (MExN): The Nagaland Social Welfare Officers will hold its two day annual conference from August 25 at Hotel Japfu, Kohima at 10:00 AM. Parliamentary secretary or social welfare Chotisuh Sazo will grace the conference as the chief guest. Norman Putsure, secretary social welfare will also speak on the occasion while welcome address will be delivered by Khevito T. Shohe, director, social welfare. The business session will start at 12:20 PM. Short speeches will be delivered by Keviseyiezo Vizo, president CDPOs’ Association and Keweu Kenye, president, Nagaland Social Welfare Officers’ Association. Day two event on August 26 will take place at IMC Hall, Dimapur from 10:00 AM onwards.
State level national role play & folk dance competition
Kohima, August 24 (MExN): The State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) is organizing a state level National Role Play and Folk Dance Competition on August 25 at Government Higher Secondary School Kohima from 10:00 AM onwards. The programme will be inaugurated by minister for school education & SCERT Nyeiwang Konyak.
State MGNREGA MIS Computer Training Centre
Kohima, August 24(MExN): The inauguration of State MGNREGA MIS Computer Training Centre & 2 days training programme on MGNREGA MIS Data Entry (Nrega-soft beta version) will take place on August 25 and 26 at the Directorate of Rural Development, Kohima from 11:00 AM onwards. S. Pangnyu Phom, parliamentary secretary for rural development ands SIRD will grace the occasion as the chief guest. The function will be chaired by Metsubo Jamir, director, rural development while status of MGNREGA- MIS & introduction to the training will be given by G. Thong, state MIS Nodal Officer, MGNREGA. Short speeches will be delivered by V. Sakhrie, commissioner and secretary, rural development. The training programme will start from 2:00 PM onwards.
Choral competition Aug 26-27
Kohima August 24 (MExN): Kohima Baptist Youth Fellowship organizes choral contest on August 26 and 27 at Chakhesang Baptist Church Kitsubozu Kohima. The contest is organized under the theme “Sing to the Lord a new song”, extracted from the Bible, Psalm 96.
CLP meeting Sept 3 at Kohima
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 24 (MExN): A Pre-assembly meeting of CLP is to be held at 2 pm on 3rd of September 2011 at the official residence of Tokheho Yepthomi, Kohima, Nagaland. Physical verification of pensioners
Dimapur, August 24 (MExN): The treasury officer of district treasury office, Phek has informed all the life and family pensioners drawing pension from Phek Treasury that the physical verification of the pensioners for the current years 2011 will be held from September 1 to 10, 2011 in the office chamber of Treasury Officer. The TO Phek in a press note has requested the pensioners to appear for the verification without fail. Pensioners are also informed to submit the Life Certificate issued by the Treasury Office after dually countersigned by the authorized officers during the period of verification.
Quiz Competition at SJC on Sept 28
Kohima August 24 (MExN): The commerce department St. Joseph’s College Jakhama organizes 11-inter College Commerce Quiz competition at it college campus on 28th September at 10.30. Tsupitong Yimchunger, Senior Academic consultant IGNOU will be the quiz master. The organizers stated that the entire commerce college in Nagaland has confirmed their participation for the mention competition.
Sumi Zumulhu daily to launch soon
Zunheboto, August 24 (DIPR): Sumi dialect daily newspaper called, Sumi Zumulhu, will be launching in the first week of September 2011. It has been informed by the Editor and Publisher of the daily Inato Y. Shikhu for public awareness.
