ANATU Dimapur Unit clarifies
Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): In regard to the news item “What about corrupt officials-ANATU” published on August 24 issue, the All Nagaland Adhoc Teachers’ Union clarified that the news ‘might have been published without the knowledge of the Dimapur Unit. “There may be freedom of speech, express or publication but, one must keep it in mind that misusing of Union is a crime committed by you,” stated ANATU Dimapur Unit president Hongkin Chang.
AKM 4th executive meeting
Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has convened its 4th Executive Meeting on August 27 at 5:00 pm at AKM conference hall. A press note issued by Jemti Longchar, information secretary, AKM informed all the AKM Executive members, Tribunal members to attend the meeting positively.
Annual State Council meeting
Kohima, August 25 (MExN): The 34th Annual State Council meeting will be held on August 31 at 11.00 am in the state headquarter conference hall, Kohima. Khyomo Lotha, State chief Commissioner, BSG has requested all the state council members to make it convenient to attend the meeting. It added that the attendee’s participation will go a long way to help and encourage the scouts & guides movement in the state of Nagaland and added to be seated by 10.45am.
ASTD declares support to FNR
Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): The Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD) has declared its full support to the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) in its endeavour for the Naga reconciliation. ASTD president I Temjen Jamir in a press note also requested the forum to pave ways for other Naga political groups also to join the process of reconciliation that FNR is working for. The Union expressed strong admiration to the FNR for the ceaseless effort in bringing the top leaders of the Naga political groups. ASTD also value the leaders of NSCN/GPRN, GPRN/NSCN and NNC/FGN for coming together and signing a declaration on August 22, 2011 in a “spirit of love, respect and understanding” to strengthen and broaden the peace process based on the uniqueness of Naga history.”
BLO/AERO training class
Kohima, August 25 (MExN): In connection with door to door verification of working copy of Photo electoral roll from August 30 to September 8, all the booth level officers (BLO)/Asstt, Electoral registration officers (AERO) and the administrative officers of Kohima district are informed to attend a training class to be held on August 29 at DC conference hall Kohima at 12.00 noon. Deputy Commissioner & district Election officer Kohima, Bei-u Angami in a press release has directed all the concerned members to attend positively adding that necessary materials shall be issued during the training class.

Kohima, August 25 (MExN): The District Education Officer informed to all the principal/ HMs and private higher secondary/ high schools under the jurisdiction of DEO, Kohima to submit the school students enrollment (class-wise and teachers’ bio data’s both old and newly up-grated government high school) to the District Education officer, Kohima Nagaland on or before 20th September without fail.

Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): The Dimapur District Planning and Development Board meeting for the month of September will be held on September 2. Time and venue will remain the same. Therefore, DC Dimapur in a press release has requested all the DPDB members to take note of the change in date.
Haipou Jadonang 80th death anniversary
Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): To commemorate the 80th death anniversary of Haipou Jadonang, the freedom fighter and social reformer, celebration committee under the aegis of Rongmei Community Dimapur has organised a programme at Ragailong Council Hall on August 29 at 10:00 am. The function will be marked by essay writing competition on the topic ‘Haipou Jadonang’s contribution towards social and cultural of Zeliangrong people” and painting competition on the life of Haipou Jadonang for school children with folk dance and song sponsored by North East Zone Cultural Xentre, Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
NCSU head office bearers re-elected
Dimapur, Aug8ust 25 (MexN): The Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers Union (NCSU) held a general meeting on August 19, 2011 at NCSU conference hall. The house unanimously resolved that, the present tenure of NCSU head office bearers has been re-elected for another five years led by Pele Khezhie with effect from August 19, 2011 to August 19, 2016. The general body and presidents of Tuensang Unit, Kiphire unit, Longleng Unit, Mokokchung Unit, Zunheboto Unit, Phek Unit, Dimapur Unit, Wokha Unit, and vice-president of Peren Unit, and general secretary of Mon Unit on behalf of the district units’ NCSU unanimously took the decision.
NLA speaker calls meeting
Kohima, August 25 (MExN): Nagaland Legislative Assembly speaker Kiyanilie Peseyie who is also the chairman of Business Advisory Committee has convened a meeting on September 2 at 11:00 am in the Assembly Committee room to finalise the provisional programme for the ensuing Tenth Session of the Eleventh Assembly commencing from September 15. NLA secretary AE Lotha in a press release has requested all concern committee members to make it convenient to attend the meeting.

NPC chairman Theyo has informed the members of its governing body to make it convenient to attend the programme without fail.
