5th NI Jamir academic excellence award
Kohima, August 26 (DIPR): MLA & Chairman NIDC & NHL, Nuklutoshi will grace the 5th NI Jamir Academic Excellence Award on August 27 at Ungma Kiti, Kohima as the chief guest. The main speaker for the programme will be Associate Professor, Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung Akok Walling. The recipients of the 5th NI Jamir Academic Excellence Award are Imlimenba Walling and Moayanger P. Ao. The programme is being organised by the Kohima Ongpangkong Tzukong Telongjem.
Firing practices at Phek
Phek, August 26 (DIPR): The 5th NAP Battalion Unit will carry out firing practices for the 12th Batch Refreshers Course personnel with effect from Saturday i.e. August 27 at its unit firing range. Therefore all public and rearby villages are requested not to go near the firing range or let loose any domesticated animals at the firing range area on the afore mentioned period. This was informed by 5th NAP Commandant, Phek.

This is to clarify that the work of Tara Douglas, Secretary Advasi Art Trust is being supported by the Government of Nagaland and not the North East Zone Culture Centre, as was published on August 26 in The Morung Express.

Parent’s seminar
Kohima, August 26 (DIPR): Police Union Baptist Church New Reserve Kohima, Women Department will be organizing parent’s seminar under the theme ‘Christian Family’ starting on August 27 and 28. The programme will start at 5:00 p.m where the speaker T. Alemyanger will speak on ‘Parents relationship’ while Nancy Kikon will give speak on ‘Parents Stewardship’. There will also be a group wise sharing in session-I on August 28 at 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. On August 27 PUBC will organize a social work to construct temporary church near DEF Kohima ground. The church authority has also informed all the parents to attend both the programme positively.
