CM to distribute tractors
Kohima, May 17 (DIPR): Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio will formally distribute the tractors and power tillers to progressive farmers of Nagaland under CMCF at Dimapur District Sports complex on May 23 at 9:30 a.m.
DDCF felicitation prog on May 21
Dimapur, May 17 (MExN): The Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum (DDCF) has reminded all the toppers of HSLC and HSSLC examination 2011 conducted by NBSE that the felicitation programme will be held on May 21 at Town Hall, Dimapur at 11:00 am. DDCF press cell in a press release said that the programme is the first of its kind and aims at encouraging the bright students of all tribes and communities of Dimapur district. Therefore, all the toppers of both HSLC and HSSLC from the schools within Dimapur district who have not yet submitted their marksheet (photostat) are asked to submit on or before May 18 to Chandu Agarwal, Finance Secretary, DDCGF and contact at 9436003651/03862-232882.
APO general session on May 20
Kohima, May 17 (MExN): The Angami Public organization will organizes its General Session on May 20 at APO hall from 10.00 am onwards with Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and MLA KV Pusa as chief guest and guest of homor respectively. A press release issued by Press secretary Medo Yhokha invited all the village chairmen and Range office bearers to attend the session positively.
CAPO general session on May 21
Kohima, May 17 (MExN): The 6th General session of the Chokri Area Public organization (CAPO) will be held on May 21 at K.Basa village parliamentary secretary fro social welfare & Women development Chotisüh Sazo as the chief guest. Kühüpoyo Puro Member NPSC, will deliver exhortation while other highlight of the programmes includes discussion on various issues facing the area and election of new office bearers will also be held.
CSU to hold felicitation programme
Kohima, May 17 (MExN): The Chiechama Students’ Union (CSU) will hold 13th freshers’ felicitation programme on May 21 at Chiechama Village Council Hall at 10:30 AM. Khrienuo C. Metha, Deputy Commissioner Peren will grace the occasion as the chief patron. The Union informed all the successful candidate of HSLC to attend the programme positively. It also invites senior members, village elders and well wishers to attend the programme. Further, transportation will be provided at 8:30 AM at NST Station Kohima on said date.

Dimapur, May 17 (MExN): The Chekiye Village Students’ Union (CVSU) is organizing felicitation programme for HSLC and HSSLC students on May 22, 2011, at Church premise, Dimapur. A press note issued by Hinoto Chophy, president and Esther Kinimi, general secretary informed that all the successful candidates and well-wishers are invited to attend the programme.
Khrieziphe village council informs
Dimapur, May 17 (MExN): The office of the Khrieziphe has notified the general public that hunting and illegal fishing is banned within Khrieziphe village jurisdiction w.e.f May 14, 2011. The KVC chairman Jonah Kemp in a press release informed that the defaulters will be penalized/fined an amount of rupees 1000 for the first time and arms will be seized if caught for the second time. Further, all the members of Khrieziphe are informed that village plot and land patta will be issued from June 1, 2011. The village authority will not entertain any land disputes without village patta. Therefore, all members are requested to extend cooperation.
NPF Dimapur meeting deferred to May 20
DIMAPUR, MAY 17 (MExN): The proposed consultative meeting of the NPF Dimapur Division which was slated for the 18th May 2011 (Wednesday) has been deferred to the 20th May 2011(Friday) due to some unavoidable circumstances. This was informed in a press note from Timir Choudhury, Vice President incharge Media, NPF Dimapur Division. The Venue and the timing shall be same as mentioned earlier. The inconvenience caused is regretted and all concerned are requested to attend the meeting positively.
Rio wishes J. Jayalalithaa
Dimapur, May 17 (MExN): The Nagaland state Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on behalf of the government and the people of Nagaland has congratulated J. Jayalalithaa on assumption of the office of the Chief Minister to Tamil Nadu. Rio expressed confidence that Jayalalithaa’s able leadership will continue to work tirelessly for the upliftment of all sections of the people especially the underprivileged and the minorities, which will contribute towards the nation building process.
WAPO to launch year of tree plantation
Kohima, May 17 (MExN): The Western Angami Public Organization (WAPO) would be launching the observation of year of plantation day 2011 on May 19 at 10.00 am at WAPO Hall Sechü Zubza with a formal launching program with DFO Kohima Temjen, IFS as the resource person. The function will be chaired by WAPO President Vikehielie Victor. It may be mentioned that the WAPO decided to the observe year of plantation in 2011, which was declared on November 12, 2010 during it seminar and pledged that every member of WAPO member will plant one tree in order to make greener with healthier environment in WAPO areas. The WAPO also seek the cooperation of all its members.
