35+ MFL officials along with MDVFA members during the felicitation programme held at Aoer Café, Mokokchung on February 14.
Mokokchung, February 14 (MExN): 35+ Mokokchung Football League (MFL) held a felicitation programme at the Aoer Café in honour of the Mokokchung District Veteran Football Association (MDVFA), who bagged the championship title of the 13th edition of Nagaland Veteran Football Association Inter-District Tournament 2026 .
Mokokchung defeated Kohima district with a score of 1-0 in the final match. The four days tournament commenced on February 10, at Old Showuba village local ground, Niuland District.
During the Felicitation programme, Vesupra Kezo, NPS, Senior Superintenudent of Police Mokokchung, who is also the President of the Mokokchung District Veteran Football Association, stated that the championship is dedicated to the people of Mokokchung.
Kezo expressed gratitude to the manager, the donors and the players for putting immense efforts. Kezo also acknowled 35+ MFL for the fact that more than 80% of Mokokchung team in the tournament were from 35+ MFL.
Kezo further added that this championship is a responsibility to teach, inspire and to do even better. 35+ MFL presented a token to the President of MDVFA. Mokokchung District Veteran Football Association also conveyed congratulatory note to the champions. Prior to the Felicitation programme, MFL welcomed the Champions at Alichen, Mokokchung district.
