MGM College, Dimapur celebrated its 9th Annual Freshers’ Programme on August 22.
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 22 (MExN): MGM College, Dimapur celebrated its 9th Annual Freshers’ Programme on August 22. The event was graced by D Ledia Awomi, President of the Ethnic Group of Nagaland, as the chief guest.
Other attendees included Alo A Yepthomi, Miss Sumi 2024 Second Runner-up, who served as guest judge, along with guest artists Keren, Wobeni, and solo performer Obed, stated a press release.
The programme commenced with an invocation by Ahikali I Jakha, Assistant Professor, Department of English, followed by a welcome address by Mughapu Swu, President of the MGM Students’ Council (MGMSC). A special musical performance was delivered by Inavitoli Swu.
Fr. Giju George, Administrator of MGM College, delivered a speech. On behalf of the new students, fresher Epikhao expressed gratitude and eagerness to begin their academic journey.
The titles of Mr. Fresher and Miss Fresher were awarded to Viku Zhimomi and Angughatoli Shohe respectively.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Tiasunep Longkumer, General Secretary of MGMSC.
