Dimapur, February 7 (MExN): MGM Higher Secondary School organised a farewell programme for the outgoing Class XII students of the 2024–2026 batch at the school campus on February 7.
The event, themed “Celebrating Endings, Embracing Beginnings,” was hosted by Ruby Yadav of Class XI Science and began with an invocation prayer by Anguvi Jakha of Class XI A. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was performed by the Vice President, Principal, Headmaster, School Captain and Vice-Captain, symbolising the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom. Supongsenla delivered the welcome address.
Students of Class XI presented a group song, followed by the presidential address by Vice President Fr Giju George, who urged students to fear God, respect parents and teachers, and become responsible citizens. He said sincere hard work, combined with God’s blessings, leads to success.
Speaking on behalf of Class XI, Akatoni Huska conveyed best wishes to the outgoing students, after which tokens of appreciation were presented to Class XII students. Lika rendered the song “Sleeping Through My Fingers,” while School Captain Tingak Konyak, representing Class XII, expressed gratitude to the management, teachers and staff, and presented a token of appreciation to the school.
Principal Reji Abraham said a farewell marks the beginning of a new chapter and encouraged students to uphold honesty, sincerity and self-belief.
The programme featured a dance by the Dizzy Dancers of Class XI and concluded with a vote of thanks by Ratan Chakraborty and a benediction by Erenbeni.
