CHÜMOUKEDIMA, SEPTEMBER 9 (MExN): The fourth Tripartite Meeting between the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the Government of Nagaland and the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) was held on Tuesday at the Police Complex, Chümoukedima.
The MHA team was led by AK Mishra, Advisor (NE), along with Rakesh Kamble, Joint Director (IB), and Vineet Kumar, IPS, Deputy Director, SIB Nagaland, Kohima.
Representing the Government of Nagaland, the delegation was headed by Chief Secretary Senti Yanger Imchen. Other members included Abhijit Sinha, IAS, Home Commissioner; Gregory Thejawelie, IAS, Commissioner Nagaland; Kesonyu Yhome, IAS, Finance Commissioner; Kikheto Sema, IAS, Principal Secretary Law & Justice; Limasunep, IPS, Special Secretary Home; Ketuo Metha, OSD Finance Department; John Tsulise Sangtam, NCS, Secretary Work & Housing; and Benjamin Longkup, Deputy Secretary Home.
The ENPO delegation was led by its President, Chingmak Chang.
According to a press release received from the ENPO media cell, several key issues were thoroughly deliberated during the three-hour meeting. The discussions concluded with the MHA team assuring that it would prepare a comprehensive draft on the Frontier Nagaland Territory (FNT) and place it at the earliest. Based on this, the next High Level Committee meeting will be convened.
Meanwhile, MHA Advisor AK Mishra also held meetings with the NSCN (IM) leadership on September 8 and 9, during which the competencies of the Framework Agreement were discussed. He is also learnt to be engaging with various civil society organisations in the next couple of days.
