Kohima, March 30 (MExN): Nagaland PWD (Roads & Bridges) Minister G Kaito Aye has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of former MLA from Satakha constituency, G Kughavi Shohe, who passed away on March 30.
In a condolence message, the minister recalled that Shohe entered politics in 1982 and served as MLA from 1993 to 1998, carrying the aspirations of the people with dedication.
Describing him as a distinguished public figure and a close associate, Aye said Shohe’s guidance and support had greatly contributed to his leadership. He added that his contributions to the party and the people of Satakha would always be remembered.
The minister termed his demise a great loss not only to the Satakha constituency but also to the Sumi community and all who knew him.
Extending condolences, Aye and his family conveyed sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for strength and peace, while wishing eternal rest to the departed soul.
