Kohima, September 18 (MExN): Minister of Environment, Forest & Climate Change and Village Guards, CL John has expressed sadness over the passing of Sheiching Konyak, DIS (Retd.), on September 17.
In his condolence message, the Minister described late Sheiching as a respected educationalist of the Konyak community who devoted his life to public service through various apex CSOs and NGOs.
He particularly acknowledged Sheiching‘s significant contributions in the fields of local education and native literature, earning widespread admiration for his sincerity, integrity, and wisdom.
“His leadership, hard work, and voluntary contributions to society will be remembered with deep respect,” the Minister noted, adding that he had the privilege of working under Sheiching‘s until his retirement and cherish the values he embodied.
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. May Almighty God grant them strength, and may his noble soul rest in eternal peace,” he added.
