Book launching and Minority Outreach programme was organized by the Minority Morcha BJP Nagaland this afternoon, here at the conference hall, Hotel Saramati under the theme “Seva, Sushasan Aur Gareeb Kalyan Parv.”

National Executive Member, Minority Morcha BJP, Pratik Edwin Sharma was the special guest at the event. Speaking at the programme, he said that in the last eight years (from 2014 to 2022), the NDA government has focused on the development and welfare of the people with the slogan, “Sabka saath, sabka vikas aur sakba vishwas” and has been able to bring about many developments in the country. In 2014, when the NDA government came to power, the minority vote share for the NDA was only 16.8% but it increased to 23% in 2019 elections, “which shows that the minority community has faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP,” he claimed.

Sharma said that he was happy to be part of the world’s largest party, while adding, “BJP is not just a party, but a family and it is world’s biggest family.”

According to Sharma, the four pillars of the NDA government led by PM Modi are the four “Ns” – Niyat (intention), Niyam (principles), Niti (planning) and Narendra Modi.

Claiming that there are several schemes made for the minority community in the country, he said that under Ujawala 2.0, around 8 crore women have benefitted and the percentage of minorities is 37.8%. 

Under Mudra Yojana, 31 crore people have availed the loans, of which 36% are minorities. He also said highlighted the government schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, Jan Dhan Yojana etc and said that in eight years, 5.5 crore minorities have received benefits from various schemes of the government.

In regard to the COVID pandemic which forced a lockdown in March 2020, Sharma said that the government helped in bringing back 90 lakh children from various countries. He said PM Modi arranged special flights to bring back home stranded children.

He also highlighted the success of vaccination in the country stating that vaccines were provided to the citizens of the country free of cost. “BJP is both for majority and minority,” he said.

Earlier during the programme, the book on “Seva, Sushasan Aur Gareeb Kalyan Parv” was launched by Sharma. The Minority Morcha BJP Nagaland also submitted a three-point memorandum to the National Executive Member, Minority Morcha BJP.

Welcome speech was delivered by the President of the Minority Morcha BJP Nagaland, Deep Kumar. Sharma was also accompanied by State General Secretary of Nagaland BJP Khevishe Sema, General Secretary (Org) BJP Nagaland and in-charge for Nagaland and Manipur Abhay Giri. The programme was attended by host of BJP members from different Morchas.
