Miss Nagaland 2025 beauty pageant will feature 16 contestants on December 4 at RCEMPA, Jotsoma, near Kohima.

This was announced by Beauty & Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN) during a press conference at Hotel Japfü, Kohima.

Sixteen contestants will comprise 12 district winners and four runners-up.

BASN President Mele Pucho said all contestants must now enter strictly through official district-level pageants, marking a major shift aimed at strengthening fairness and credibility.

Pucho cautioned aspirants about persistent irregularities in several Indian beauty pageants. He said BASN has observed “unfair and money-driven practices” in many platforms outside the Northeast over the past three decades.

“We want our girls to be empowered through transparent systems. Participants must remain cautious about misleading national pageants,” he cautioned.

BASN confirmed continued support for reputable platforms such as Miss Northeast and Miss India, while participation in other national or international pageants will depend on reforms within those organisations.

BASN reiterated its commitment to maintaining one of the fairest judging systems in the region.

The press conference was attended by district partners from across Nagaland.
