Miss Wokha 2025 auditions held in Wokha and Kohima

The journey to Miss Wokha 2025 officially began today, with auditions held simultaneously in Wokha and Kohima, drawing enthusiastic participation from young women aspiring to contest for the crown after a seven-year hiatus.

In Wokha, auditions took place at Zumba Fitness Centre, Tsumang, where five contestants vied for a place in the pageant: Yisanbeni Tsanglao, Nyanbeni Tungoe, Mhabeni T. Ezung, Mhachoni Ngullie, and Shanreno Kikon. The panel of judges included Nzano P. Kikon, Deputy Chairperson, WTC; Thungchano Kikon, WTC; R. Thungbeni Ezung, Vice President, Lotha Eloe Hoho; Jenny Kikon, Joint Secretary, Lotha Eloe Hoho; and Thungbeni Kikon, Event Director, Glamorous Event Management Team.

Meanwhile, in Kohima, open auditions were held at the Centre of Excellence for Music & Art (CEMA), Minister Hill, culminating in the selection of three finalists: Glory Kithan (Kohima Science College), Height: 5’3”; Nzanbeni N. Humtsoe (St. Joseph’s College, A), Height: 5’7”; and Nsungbeni Ezung (B.Sc Forestry), Height: 5’7”. The Kohima jury included Rendemo Shitio, Assistant Manager (Response & Communication), NSDMA; Rutho Nyuwi, Manager (CI), North East Initiatives Development Agency; and Yanbeni N. Shitio, Miss Kohima 2007, Miss Nagaland 1st Runner-up 2007, and Marketing Head, HBTV, Kohima.

Organisers, the Glamorous Event Management Team, in collaboration with the Lotha Eloe Hoho, stated that the auditions are a crucial step toward the grand finale, scheduled for November 15 in Wokha. The Dimapur auditions will take place on September 27 at IFM Academy, opposite Cornerstone School, Duncan, Dimapur, from 10:00 AM onwards.

This year, the Miss Wokha 2025 crown carries added significance, as the winner will secure direct entry to Miss Nagaland, as assured by the Beauty and Aesthetic Society of Nagaland (BASN). Alongside the main title, subtitles such as Miss Talented, Best Ethnic Wear, Miss Popular, Best Congeniality, and Best Catwalk will also be awarded.
