Mokokchung, March 23 (MExN): The DC & District Election Officer, Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar Verma IAS, accompanied by Senior SP Mokokchung and other administrative officials visited Chungtia village on March 21.
According to a DIPR report, the visit was held with the aim to assess the law and order situation that occurred in the village in view of the upcoming bye-election.
During the visit, the DC convened a meeting with members of the village council to discuss election related issues and emphasised the importance of cooperation from all stakeholders to ensure free, fair and peaceful conduct of the bye-election.
The officers also inspected polling stations under the village jurisdiction to review preparedness and ensure that necessary arrangement an in place for the smooth conduct of the Election.
The District Administration reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order and conducting the election in an efficient manner.
