MOKOKCHUNG, NOVEMBER 28 (MExN): The Ongpangkong Students’ Conference (OKM) today expressed concern that Mokokchung town’s most crucial road is being ignored, and said that the demand of the four wards youth association to immediately repair the road leading to Dr Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) is most genuine and needs to be taken in utmost seriousness.
“The OKM supports the demand put forward by the four wards youth association and endorse the same,” a press release from the OKM stated.
“It is true that the road leading to the district hospital is in a terrible state and is seriously disrupting commuters, particularly patients who are visiting the hospital, as well the general public. The competent authority’s tardiness in carrying out the repair work shows signs of indifference and disregard on their part,” it added.
The OKM requested that the relevant authority act with sincere concern and urgency to remedy this serious problem.
Any cold or lackadaisical gesture by the concerned authority can no longer be tolerated, it noted. Further, the OKM said that if urgent meaningful actions are not taken, the OKM “will not be reluctant to take its own course of actions.”
