Mkg youth dept conducts mission programme

Dimapur, February 15 (MExN): The Mission Program of Youth Department, Mokokchung Compound Baptist Church in partnership with Care & Support Society was held at Care & Support Society Office on February 15 from 10:00 am onwards.
A press note informed that Moa N Jamir (Project Manager, TI Ongpangkong) chaired the program and the detail introduction about the mission program and the activities of Care & Support Society was shared by managing director, Imchawati Kichu. John Imsong, Youth Director, Mokokchung Compound Baptist Church while sharing, dwelled on the works of the Good Samaritan basing on the book of Luke from the Bible and their vision about the mission program to support the orphan children. Grandparent of the orphan Imkongmar shared his burden to look after his three grandchildren and thanked the Youth Department for their great mission in supporting the orphan child and Care & Support Society for initiating the program. Bendang Lemtur, Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung in his speech emphasized on the importance of Home Mission and also encouraged and challenged the youth to live a responsible living and to value the great mission works. The programme concluded with a dedicatory prayer by Dr. Aka, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung.
Care and support Society have a programme called Kimang Care Trust NGO (own initiative) under which three components i.e, People with Disability (PWDs), Children Living with HIV and AIDS, Orphans. The note also mentioned that Youth department came forward and sponsored one orphan child by giving ` 500 per month for one year from January 1, 2011.
