MLA Nyamnyei Konyak condoles loss of lives in road accident

Kohima, December 19 (MExN): The Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly from 48 Moka Assembly Constituency , A Nyamnyei Konyak has expressed grief at the loss of four lives from Mon district in a fatal road crash in Karbi Anglong, Assam on December 18.

‘With deep anguish and sadness, I express my deepest condolences to the families those who lost their precious lives in the tragic accident,’ the MLA stated in a condolence note.

He identified the deceased as N Langphong Konyak, Mopong Town Primary Teacher (Former General Secretary, MHSU); B Neangmai, Changlangshu Village, Assistant Professor, Wangkhao college Mon;  N Nyamshan, Mopong Town (Undergoing Nurse Training;  and E Ngapya, Longchang Village (Nursing trainee). 

In this darkest hour, I stand with the deceased family members and also pray for the speedy recovery of those who were seriously injured, Nyamnyei conveyed. 

“I and my family extend our grief and heartfelt support to the bereaved families and also pray for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace,” he added. 

Four people were killed and four others wounded in a fatal road accident in Karbi Anglong, Assam on December 18. The collision involved a Maruti Gypsy from Nagaland and an Assam-registered Mahindra Thar and happened around 5:00 am on Tuesday.

There were seven occupants in the Gypsy, which was proceeding to Mon, and two in the Thar, moving from the Silonijan side.
