MLA Toshipokba receives a traditional welcome from the Delhi Ao Senso Telongjem during the celebration of Tsüngremmong 2011 festival.
Dimapur, August 9 (MExN): On Saturday, August 6 the Aos in Delhi, under the aegis of Delhi Ao Senso Telongjem celebrated the Tsüngremmong 2011 festival with great pomp. The event was graced by Toshipokba, MLA, Nagaland as the chief guest along with Sandeep M Tamgadge, IPS, CO, 1st NAP and Lisapila Anar, PRO, Department of Tourism, Nagaland as guests of honour.
In his speech, the chief guest exhorted the Aos, in general, in Delhi and NCR to be united as one and the Delhi Ao Kaketshir Telongjem (Delhi Ao Students’ Union) in particular, to consider uniting with the Naga Students’ Union Delhi (NSUD), by forgiving and forgetting the decade old bitterness and differences between the two organizations.
Apart from the main function, the DAST Tsüngremmong 2011 was celebrated with various games and sports including Tug-of-war, Chicken Casino, Golden boot etc., wherein not only the Aos but many others, including foreigners enjoyed and witnessed the day. This was stated in a press release issued by DAST, General Secretary, Moaniken.
