Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): Mobile Artificial Insemination (AI) Service was launched at Regional Artificial Insemination Centre (RAIC) Mokokchung. This service is being provided by Nagaland Livestock Development Board (NLDB).
A press note stated that Dr. M Toshi Aier, Officer i/c RAIC & Nodal Officer NLDB Mokokchung who was instrumental in initiating this service chaired the programme. He spoke on what the Mobile AI service is and who will be benefiting from this service. Dr. Temsumeren RAIO & GM Komul Mokokchung spoke on the role of the AI Worker. Dr. Longri Farm Manger State Cattle Breeding Farm (SCBF) Aliba who also spoke on the occasion said that prosperity is not an overnight event and that he motivated the farmers to avail the newly launched service for the development of dairy farming. Two farmers of Dairy Cooperative Society (DCS) Nuken Jamir (Kongrokong DCS) and Mar (WDC) also spoke on the occasion and thanked the Managing Director and the officers of NLDB for providing this service.
Concluding the programme oastor of Yimyu Baptist Church handed over the vehicle along with the documents to Tinukumzuk VFA & AI Personnel who will be the AI Worker for this programme before pronouncing the dedicatory prayer. Under this programme a Motor bike and AI kits has been provided. With the launching of this service, dairy farmers of Mokokchung district can now be relived of the costly and difficult activity of rearing breeding bulls.
