Dangli L Sangtam - Mr. Fresher 2025 and Kavei-o Pulo - Miss Fresher 2025 of Model Christian College.
KOHIMA, AUGUST 22 (MExN): The 17th Annual Fresher’s Day Celebration, themed “Aureate – Celebrating the Golden Beginning of a New Journey,” was held at the Model Christian College (MCC) auditorium on August 22.
The programme commenced with a welcome by moderators Vekutho Puro and Liniu V. Zashebonu Savi, President of the MCCEU, offered the opening prayer.
In his welcome address, MCCSC President Shilumoa Longkumer extended greetings to the new students. Fresher representative Zadeno Ezung expressed gratitude and excitement on behalf of the incoming class.
Dr Mhabemo Odyuo, Vice Principal of the college, delivered an address. He began with a brief profile and history of the institution, setting an encouraging tone for the academic journey ahead.
The highlight of the event was the ‘Mr & Miss Fresher 2025’ contest. Dangli L Sangtam was crowned Mr. Fresher 2025 and Kavei-o Pulo was crowned Miss Fresher 2025.
The jury panel comprised of Asenla Jamir (Dean of Student’s Welfare), Nikay Besa (Assistant Professor, Department of Linguistics), and Neichuzonuo Rupreo (HoD, Department of Sociology).
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Kupuli Yepthomi, General Secretary of MCCSC, followed by a closing prayer by B Yunyei, Prayer Secretary of MCCEU.
