Mokokchung, January 17 (MExN): The Mokokchung District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting cum work distribution for the forthcoming Republic Day Celebration meeting was held at Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall, Mokokchung on January 16.
A DIPR report stated that the Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman, Mokokchung DPDB, Thsuvisie Phoji chaired the meeting. In his opening remark, the Chairman maintained that the calendar year will be an engaging one as the members along with their normal official duties will be assigned duties for the forthcoming Parliamentary election.
In this regard, he called upon all the members for their full co-operation. He also informed all the heads of offices those who are yet to submit the employees list under their Office to do so at the earliest.
ADC Mokokchung, Chumlamo Humtosoe during the meeting informed the members on the issues relating to Town graveyard and waste dumping site. He informed that due to lack of space for new burial in the present site and the problem to identify new burial location, a committee has been set up to look into the matter. Regarding the problem related to waste dumping site, he mentioned that MMC has taken up plan of action to contain the problems; he also called for more awareness on kitchen waste management
The Board also decided to recommend the registration of Tuli Area Truck Union to the concern authority, the DIPR report stated.
The DC Mokokchung requested all the departments for their cooperation and to carry out the work assigned to their respective departments for the successful conduct of Republic Day celebration.
