Mokokchung, August 12 (DIPR): In Mokokchung Town all arrangements have been made to celebrate the Independence Day on Monday, August 15. Nagaland Minister for School Education & SCERT, Nyeiwang Konyak will unfurl the National Flag at the ceremonial function at Imkongmeren Sports Complex followed by address to the people of Mokokchung district. The Chief Guest will also inaugurate exhibition stalls after the ceremonial function. Impressive ceremonial march-past, presentation of Governor’s Award for Bharat Scouts & Guides, Dr. Ambedkar Award and the District Award and entertainment programs will be the major highlights on the occasion. In the evening an exhibition football match will be played between Seasonal Club and Rising Club followed by retreat.
Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Mokokchung district will be organizing a District Level Exhibition-cum-Competition for Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture and Veterinary & Animal Husbandry items during the Indian Independence Day Celebration at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung. The program is to encourage the farmers of the district. Joint Director (Agri) and Project Director ATMA also informed that attractive prices and certificates will be given to the first (1st) three (3) winners in each category of items. However, no award will be given for non-competitive exhibits.
