Mokokchung, September 14 (MExN): The 30th Alongtaki A/C Congress Committee (ACCC) has extended its profound gratitude to the Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) and Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) President, S Supongmeren Jamir, for his initiative in securing the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) road infrastructure projects for the constituency.
According to a press release issued by A Chuba Longkumer, President of the 30th Alongtaki ACCC, the official PMGSY proposals received from the MP for the Mokokchung district feature a total of seven road projects (all included in the core network) under the constituency of Nagaland. The proposals and their respective execution details comprise:
1. L043-T01-Tull to Aopenzu — Order of Priority: 1
2. L025-Lirmen to Tsuremmen — Order of Priority: 2; valued at ₹10.38 crore
3. L030-T01-JRR Junction to Aonokpu — Order of Priority: 3; valued at ₹2.46 crore
4. L043-T01 to Moayimti — Order of Priority: 4; valued at ₹3.46 crore
5. L042-L026 to Longjemdang — Order of Priority: 5; valued at ₹2.60 crore
6. L022-Sabangya Longkhum road to Kubza — Order of Priority: 6
7. L026-L-031 to Longkhum — Order of Priority: 7
Describing the projects as critical lifelines rather than mere roads, the committee noted that the infrastructure will provide enhanced access to healthcare, education, markets, and businesses while driving socio-economic growth for rural communities and future generations.
The ACCC also placed on record its appreciation to Er Chubatoshi, Executive Engineer of PWD (R&B), Mangkolemba Sub-Division, along with the PMGSY Cell under the C.E. (R&B) Office Kohima, for their guidance and assistance in facilitating the departmental workflows.
Appealing to village councils, elders, youth bodies, and the general public to extend fullest cooperation when contractors commence work, the committee urged citizens to collectively monitor, protect, and support the execution to ensure transparency and adherence to prescribed technical standards.
