Mokokchung, August 8 (MExN): The CGST Dimapur Commissionerate organised a GST Outreach programme at Whispering Winds Hotel in Mokokchung town on August 8. The programme was also attended by the State Taxes Department officials.
Te CGST Dimapur Commissionerate in a press release stated that after Dimapur, Kohima and Chümoukedima districts, Mokokchung district has the next highest number of GST taxpayers.
The Outreach programme was chaired by Jayavelu, Assistant Commissioner CGST. It involved interaction of tax officials with the members of Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industries led by President Tsukti Jamir as well as some of the major taxpayers, traders, tax consultants and business owners from the Mokokchung area.
The programme was conducted to offer practical guidance to enhance voluntary compliance, it stated.
Limanochet, Superintendent CGST Mokokchung Range and V Khawbung Superintendent were also present.
The outreach programme witnessed active participation of local taxpayers, tax consultants and business owners.
CGST Dimapur Commissionerate has been conducting such outreach programmes on a regular basis for the benefit of local taxpayers and the business community.
