Mon launches 70-bedded COVID Care Centre

A 70-bedded COVID Care Centre was inaugurated at Mon on June 22.

Mon, June 22 (MExN): A 70-bedded COVID Care Centre was inaugurated at Mon on June 22 in the presence of Mon Deputy Commissioner Thavaseelan K, SDO (C) Lithrila Sangtam, Deputy CMO Dr Rongsennungla, CCC Management Committee members and others.

The CCC is funded by Foundation for Ecological Security and Naga American Foundation, facilitated by District Administration Mon and Eleutheros Christian Society and jointly managed by Mon District Administration, Police, Medical Department, churches and civil societies of Mon, according to a press release.

Speaking at the inaugural programme, DC Thavaseelan expressed gratitude to all the agencies that funded and facilitated the CCC particularly the Eleutheros Christian Society Tuensang and other stakeholders for their timely help and intervention during the ongoing pandemic. The CCC shall be jointly managed by CCC Management Committee and the Medical Department for the next two months and it can be further extended as per the COVID status of the district, he added. 

The CCC was dedicated with a prayer by Youngrichum Sangtam, Pastor of Sangtam Baptist Lithro, Mon and chairperson of all Mon Town Pastors Association, the release stated.
