Mon, June 13 (MExN): Mon continues to reel under the grip of food shortage with the severe condition of one of the five bridges badly beyond repair along the Mon-Sonari lane. This lane has been the only life line for the entire district and Assam being the only source of livelihood that account for entire supply of essential commodities.
There has been a report of food shortage at many places like Aboi, Tobu and Chen. To make matters worse, the district has been functioning without a DC. It was only a few days ago that the State government appointed a new DC. This has effected both the movement of goods and the public, who now find it difficult to travel for official work outside Mon.
