Incessant rainfall has triggered multiple mudslides along the Doyang–Merapani road in Wokha district, disrupting traffic and hampering normal movement along the important road corridor.
Several stretches of the road have been covered by mud, rocks and debris following the heavy downpour, making the route difficult for vehicles to navigate. With rainfall continuing, the risk of further landslides remains, posing a threat to commuters using the road.
The Doyang–Merapani road is an important link for local residents and for the transportation of essential commodities. The disruption has caused inconvenience to travellers and affected movement in the area.
Motorists have been advised to exercise caution while travelling along the affected stretches until the road is cleared and weather conditions improve.
