This iconic musical event, which began in 2001, has been a hallmark of Nagaland’s vibrant music scene, attracting talented participants from across the State.
After the last edition in 2016, the contest faced an unexpected pause in its four-year cycle due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, after much anticipation, the stage is set for a comeback with an even greater zeal, promising to deliver an unforgettable experience for participants and audiences alike.
The 2025 edition of the Sungkotenem Beat Contest comes with an impressive prize pool of Rs 1.5 lakhs, making it the largest in the event’s history. The winner will walk away with a grand prize of Rs 80,000, while the runner-up will be awarded Rs 50,000. In addition, there are several individual prizes to recognize exceptional talent across various categories.
The event will take place in the picturesque village of Mopungchuket, offering a scenic and culturally rich backdrop for this celebration of music and talent.
