In 1963 a British Foreign Minister Profumo by name has been dropped from his ministership in connection with his love affair with a woman. A Governor in USA was said to have lost his candidature for presidency election as he fell in love with one of his staff. Immorality was considered by the forefathers as a taboo which caused defeat by enemies.
The Lord Jesus Christ said that even an impure look at one is a sin. But among the Christians conspicuous act of immorality is taken for granted. A minister or bureaucrat who indulges in adultery or immorality is not taken seriously by the people.
Righteous and sin should be differentiated. The public should awake to appose any act of sin with boldness. No moral man should be allowed to contest in election and say immoral minister should be taught a lesson before the people.
A Christian Council or Para-Church organization which is remaining a silent spectator when rampant corruption or act of immorality is prevailing should be considered a nominal or shallow council or organization.
The need of the day is a beautiful Church and a beautiful society which produces captives of sin in any form changed from captivity to freedom and new lives giving rest to troubled hearts. Having the right relationship with God is the greatest thing for the society.
