Dimapur, January 25 (MExN): The newly appointed president of NDPP 5 Ghaspani II A/C, Dosau Kuotsu along with many supporters of former minister and Independent candidate Rokonicha Kuotsu have joined the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) and pledged to wholeheartedly support the leadership of Neiphiu Rio in the ensuing general elections, according to a press release.
The press release from Miathou Krose, Founding Member NDPP said they lamented that the exit of former Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio from the 12th NLA “resulted in instability with trust deficit governance, betrayals amongst legislators and utter chaos with unprecedented corruption.”
The leaders opined that “his presence and involvement can be the only solution for visionary changes in Nagaland,” the release stated.
Meanwhile, they also made an appeal to Zhaleo Rio, the sitting MLA of the constituency, to contest the ensuing election on NDPP ticket “for a better future of the constituency.” In this regard, Zhaleo Rio welcomed and appreciated their formal invitation saying he will seriously consider the proposal in consultation with other likeminded legislators and leaders, it added.
