Chümoukedima, February 17 (MExN): Mount Mary College organised a Tuberculosis (TB) Elimination Awareness Programme to educate students and faculty on TB prevention, treatment, and eradication today. 

District TB Officer, Dimapur, Nagaland, Dr Benchilo Ngullie highlighted the government's efforts under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP), stated a press release from Mount Mary College. 

She emphasised key services, including Free Diagnosis (Tests) available at government health centres and Free DOTS (Directly Observed Treatment) ensuring proper medication adherence and also other Financial Benefits like Nikshay Poshan Yojana and Tribal Allowance for TB patients. 

Dr. Ngullie urged collective efforts in TB elimination, stressing awareness, early detection, and treatment adherence. An interactive session followed, where students engaged in discussions.
