Movement of cadres worries Pfutsero public

DIMAPUR, MARCH 7 (MExN): The situation in Pfutsero has been described as ‘somewhat tense’ as armed cadres numbering about 40 moved into Rukizu colony in Pfutsero town about a week back after receiving reports that a faction had plans to move into the area. According to information received, the cadres had been staying in some of the houses and in the vicinity of Rukizu LP School. Some residents of the colony vacated their houses and temporarily shifted to nearby areas in apprehension of a clashes between factions. However classes have been going on and teachers and students alike have been attending school regularly. On 5th February, on request of the Administration, the town council and public leaders, the cadres vacated the houses and school area and have retreated to nearby jungles. They have been requested to stay away from public habitations and to remain in the jungles. Following this the residents have started coming back to their respective homes, as per the latest information.
