Kohima, May 10 (MExN): The Orchids Preservation Mount (Mount Mulungkohu), situated in Meluri Sub Division of Phek district and established three years ago, has more than 30 different species of Orchids.
Recently, the Reguri Students Union conducted a social work, especially to collect Orchids from the jungle where more than ten different species has been collected and the same were planted in the Mount Mulungkohu.
“It is our hope that, different types of orchids with different colours and shape will bloom throughout the years,” said Union president Dunoh Trakgha in a release.
The Union also thanked Parliamentary secretary Yitachu Sharu for sanctioning financial assistance for the construction of resting shade at Mount Orchids.
