Mteisuding Zeliang has been elected as the new president of Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) for the tenure 2025-2027.
Mteisuding, representing All Zeliangrong Students’ Union (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) was declared as the new NSF president by its Election Commission after general election conducted on August 29 at the 31st General Conference of the NSF at Tseminyu.
The other NSF officials elected include; vice president - Vimeyiekho Vitso, general secretary - Kenilo Kent, assistant general secretary - Veze Tunyi, Secretary social & culture - Thejalhoukho Thomas Khawakhrie, secretary education - Ajo Tsela, secretary finance - Katho P. Awomi, secretary publicity & information – Temjentoshi, and Federal Assembly speaker- Mariko O. Leriina
Later, Election commissioner Neizokhotuo Belho administered oath to the new team while Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener, General Secretary Nagaland Baptist Church Council pronounced dedicatory prayer.
Addressing the valedictory session, Abu Metha, Advisor to Chief Minister of Nagaland and chairman IDAN, called upon the Nagas to rise together as one. He also urged upon the gathering to collectively work and contribute towards making the Nagaland of tomorrow better than the Nagaland of today.
Laisam Simai, MLA, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh graced the valedictory session as special guest.
Neingulo Krome, Secretary General, Naga People’s Movement for Human Rights (NPMHR) delivered solidarity message.
RS Jollyson chaired the programme while acknowledgment was led by Kesosul Christopher Ltu, Co-Convenor, Central Organizing Committee.
