Law & Justice Kilonser of the NSCN (K), Kughalu Mulatonu has rejoined the GPRN/NSCN. Reliable sources have confirmed that Mulatonu, two other senior functionaries namely, ‘Col’ Vikato Commander of Suruhuto designated camp NSCN (K) and ‘Maj’ Hoikhu town commander of Zunheboto NSCN (K) along with four other cadres reached Khehoi designated camp of GPRN/NSCN on Thursday evening.

Mulatonu, who was then ‘Chaplee’ Kilonser in GPRN/NSCN, had joined NSCN (K) after the GPRN/NSCN ‘tatar hoho’ (parliament) expelled its chairman SS Khaplang in June 2011 for ‘unilaterally’ expelling its commander-in-chief ‘Gen’ Khole.

With that expulsion, the GPRN/NSCN split into two – one group retained the nomenclature GPRN/NSCN headed by ‘Gen’ Khole while the other group NSCN (K) was headed by SS Khaplang. With Mulatonu and other senior leaders joining GPRN/NSCN, sources said more were likely to join GPRN/NSCN.
