Mushroom production training held

Kohima | September 12 : The 78 BN CRPF, Zubza, Kohima organized a one day training programme today  on mushroom production in collaboration with ICAR, Medzhiphema, Nagaland at Unit HQR, Zubza, Kohima.
Chairman of Zubza village council Nieko Sechu graced the occasion as the chief guest and Prabhanjan Kumar, Commandant, -78 Bn CRPF presided over the function, the programme was also attended by adjoining villages’ chairmen, GBs, officials of CRPF and different organizations. The training programme was attended by 15 villagers from Sechu (Zubza) and Sechuma.  Mushroom production kits and seeds were also distributed to the participants.
Welcoming the village elders, experts from ICAR and participants, N. Ranbir Singh, Dy. Comdt. stated that this training programme is intended to enhance the skills of the participants to enable them to produce mushroom to help them earn.
Also speaking at the function the chairman Prabhanjan Kumar, Commandant-78 Bn CRPF, stated that Civic Action Programme sponsored by the Central Govt. through Central Para Military Forces like CRPF has multiple objectives, namely to impart skill training and also to build up strong and  lasting relation between CRPF and local population. He expressed his hope that the trainees will take keen interest and acquire the skill so that they will be able to produce mushroom on small as well as large scale.
The chief guest while speaking during the function expressed happiness and gratitude to the Commandant- 78 Bn for organizing such useful programme to train the villagers of the adjoining villages.  
The training programme was conducted by CRPF with the help of Joseph Kikon, expert from the ICAR, Medzhiphema.
