The first ever Yimchunger Gospel Beat contest held on April 23, 2011 under the theme Musical Soaring had its video album release on June 10, 2011 at 2:00 Pm at hotel Saramati.
The event was hosted by Tsalimong, Manager K. T Jinger Enterprise with K. Aron Yimchunger, Chairman and CEO Queensberry Foundation (NGO’s) gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest and PFK Tochu, President Western Yimchunger Hoho as the Guest of Honour.
The chief guest in his speech, which was supposedly his first public appearance, mentioned about his personal experiences and how believing in himself and having a positive mentality made him a successful person. The Guest of Honour also spoke about taking responsibilities accepting and making changes in our society and personalities in achieving our targets. He also requested the youth citing the Mizo Youth as an example so that our music spreads to other neighbouring regions as well.
The beat contest was successful under the assistance and organisation of Akiu Kips, Secretary and Khetoho Lim, Executive Producer. It was sponsored by K. Yimso Janger, Director Mission Possible Ministries and co-sponsored by Khetoni Mure, Chairman (AYLA) Western Yimchunger Women’s Hoho. Robert Lotha, Pastor Christ Community Church Chumukedima dedicated the Video album with inspiring, encouraging and enthusiastic words. The program ended with the release of the Beat Contest Video by the Chief Guest, vote of thanks by Panti Rongmai, Convener Organizing Committee followed by the benediction prayer by Atsan, Pastor Yimchunger Baptist Church, Dimapur.
