Dimapur, June 25 (MExN): The annual Nagaland Muslim Students Felicitation programme 2011 organised by the Muslim Council Dimapur will be held at Holy Cross School Hall on June 26 from 2:00 pm onwards. The MCD has requested all the awardees students who have already submitted their documents to report at the venue by 1:30 pm.
Altogether around 76 students securing marks of 60% and above will be felicitated during the function.
Governor of Nagaland Nikil Kumar has consented to be the chief guest of the programme while Azheto Zhimomi, MLA and Advisor Sericulture and co-operation, Government of Nagaland will be the guest of honour. The other special guest includes Sayeedullah Nonghrum, MLA and Political Secretary to the Chief Minister of Meghalaya. J. Alam, Commissioner Home and CEC Government of Nagaland and Educationist Mahbabul Haque, chairman of education, research and development foundation, Gauhati will be the special invitees.
A photo magazine “10 years and beyond…” depicting the activities of MCD shall be released by the chief guest during the programme. This was informed in a press release issued by MCD Working President A. Raman.
