My humble appeal to our leaders

Rev. L. Suohie Mhasi

Human beings have shortcomings and weaknesses. So there is a saying, “To err is human.” Lot of things have been done well and lot of things have been done wrong in one way or the other. The wrong should be put right and the right thing should be promoted for the good of the people.

After the election is over, when Ministry is going to be formed, instead of offering oneself to be chosen by the house, tussle for leadership takes place by having camps and as far as possible elected members are caught to the contending camps in a very ugly manner. This is contrary to the traditional practice of our ancestors in choosing leaders, undemocratic and unchristian. So Kaziranga type of camp should not be repeated.

In the last election, in connection with the tussle over portfolio, Party workers resorted to violence and some offices of the Party were destroyed. It is a savage practice and should never be repeated in future.

We can assert with boldness that all good and precious things for mankind now and forever are in store in truly knowing God , believing in Him, fearing Him and obeying Him only and nowhere else.
