My Nagaland

My Nagaland-mountains, hills, landscapes
and rivers and valleys are all full of scenic beauties.
My Nagaland, where there is no landless man or family.
My Nagaland where there is no houseless
or shelter less man.
My Nagaland, where there is no fear of Tsunamis or floods.
My Nagaland, where there is no fear of
deadly cyclone and tornadoes.
My Nagaland, where there is no dearth of drinking water.
My Nagaland, where there is no dearth of firewood.
My Nagaland, where there no man dies of starvation.
My Nagaland, where the people are simple,
truthful, honest and hospitable.
My Nagaland, where there is pure democracy
and an admirable judicial system.
My Nagaland, where no locks and keys
are necessary for houses or stores and granaries.
My Nagaland your people were classless society,
but now class system is emerging.
My Nagaland, some of your children had imported
Corruption, thefts, cheating, rapes and
Killings from neighbouring areas!

Otherwise, the cases of corruption, thefts, cheating, rapes and killing were very rare in Naga society.
Tribalism existed due to the prevalence of internecine warfares on linguistic lines.

Clanism was unknown, but imported from Britain recently by those some educated Nagas who worked with the Britishers during the time of British administration.

My Nagaland, the leaders among your children are becoming selfish and lovers of their personal interest, lack of integrity, truthfulness and honesty prevent them to speak the truth and confront evils.

My Nagaland, you are the land of Christians now, but your Christians are much worse than an Atheist. Most of them are nominal and materialistic Christians. The Christian leaders do not preach spirituality, because they cannot become spiritual. Worships and church services are only rituals. Big Christian leaders cannot speak out the truth and confront evils.

They want only flatteries and favours. They want their children to be the richest and biggest man in the Naga society.

My Nagaland, your spiritual Christians are mostly found in rural areas who are poor, weak and illiterate. They are ill-opportune to speak loud and clear.

My Nagaland, you are the land of God’s own country, but alas! You have marred by bloodshed and you are bleeding grievously. Who and what will heal you, my dear Nagaland!

My Nagaland, the principle of Christianity proclaims that poverty and self-denial is the essence of Christianity and that wealth and power nullify salvation and the luxurious living is anti thesis of Christianity. But who are takers?
