Dimapur, November 22 (MExN): The Myki Store, earlier situated at Kuda Village, has been relocated to V&A Complex, Chakhesang Colony, Dimapur on November 22.

During the opening of the Store, Salhoutuonuo Kruse, Minister for Women Resource Development & Horticulture, stated that the store is ideally located and will really help in promoting and marketing of various products that are being regularly made by skilled unemployed women in the State.

In a press update, the department stated that a variety of goods are being promoted under the brand name Myki. The products vary from a wide range of apparels and accessories to a number of packaged local food products. While production of fabric goods are outsourced to skilled unemployed women, the department also encourages cultivation of select crops from women groups which are later processed and marketed under the Myki brand.

As a pilot programme, the department is also in the process of entering into an MOU with a group of toymakers called Mother’s Craft to enable marketing of their goods through the Myki platform, stated the update.
