DIMAPUR, APRIL 26 (MExN): The Naga Hoho has stated that the Naga people are well aware that the cease fire agreement has been signed between the Government of India (GOI) and the undivided NSCN (K) way back in 1997. “With the split of NSCN/ GPRN (K) in 2011 into two parallel groups, the cease fire with GOI have been maintaining within the same perimeter with both NSCN (K) and GPRN/NSCN (Kholi & Kitovi). Apparently, the cease fire with GPRN/NSCN is due to be expired on 28th April, 2012”. Stating this in a press note issued by Inaka Assumi, Vice President and P. Chuba Ozukum, General Secretary, the Naga Hoho has stated that it “ have been the harbinger for maintaining peace and unity not only with the adversaries but particularly among Naga brethrens and therefore we urged upon the leadership of GOI and GPRN/NSCN to extend the cease fire in the interest of all peace loving people in the state.
