Dimapur, July 24 (MExN): Following the demise of Bendangmayang Jamir on July 23, the Naga Hoho, ‘with a heavy heart have to bid adieu today’ and remembered him as a guiding force of Naga Hoho when he led it as the president from July 14, 2006 to 2008.
“He was fatherly figure to Naga Hoho, who willingly left his hometown Mokokchung with his entire family to settle in Kohima during his tenure as the President of Naga Hoho. It was under his leadership a perceptive dialogue on Indo-Naga political issues was initiated by the Naga Hoho,” Naga Hoho President H K Zhimomi conveyed in a press note.
“A simple man, with clear vision for the Nagas late Bendangmayang was indeed a committed Naga patriot who served selflessly for the Naga cause,” it said and extended condolences and prayers to his bereaved family.
