DIMAPUR, JULY 8 (MExN): The Naga Mother’s Association (NMA) conveyed its deep appreciation to the NSCN (Khaplang) Leadership for their declaration to shun violence and stop all forms of factional violence. This was stated in a press note issued by Abeiu Meru, President and Rosemary Dzuvichu, Advisor of NMA.
In this regard, the NMA has appealed to the “Khole-Kitovi Collective Leadership to respond positively to this gesture and stop all forms of factional violence against each other”. The NMA reiterated that as mothers, the “continuous killings of our children has hurt and caused us great sorrow and anguish”.
“We acknowledge the maturity and wisdom of the decision of the NSCN (K) and hope that this important step towards reconciliation will be reciprocated by the leadership at the Khehoi Camp and bring an immediate end to factional violence and killings”, the NMA press note stated while also earnestly appealing to both the groups to sit down across the table for talks in order to stop all forms of violence.
The NMA also sought the immediate attention of the Central Government, New Delhi, to seriously enter into Peace Dialogue with the NSCN (Khaplang) to bring about peace in the land and pointing out that “Nagas are one, irrespective of boundaries and our history irrevocably binds us to one another as Nagas”.
The NMA stressed that Naga Mothers across the length and breadth of Naga areas stand for peace and reconciliation among all National Workers, to bring about a true peaceful honourable solution to the Naga issue.
