Naga Nights, an up and coming event management organisation, will host its first event, “The Last Summer,” on September 12. The event aims to provide a platform for undiscovered artists in Nagaland. It will be held at Stone Park, North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC).
Naga Nights made the announcement at a press conference in Dimapur on September 10.
Hotoi I. Assumi, Business Consultant of Naga Nights, stated that they aim to address the lack of recognition and platforms for raw talent in Nagaland. “We want to be that platform,” he said.
The event will begin at 3:00 PM and feature 10 artists, including Polar Lights, Jpollnd, Since 90s, and Mr. Gideon, DJ Tejaas well as new artists. According to Assumi, Naga Nights plans to expand beyond music, to include other performing arts.
Tickets are priced at Rs 499 for the general public and Rs 299 for students. The event on September 12 will be family friendly, the organisers said. It will feature food stalls as well.
Likivi Chishi, Co-founder of Naga Nights, emphasised the organisation’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship within the artistic community. She added that they are actively seeking out talent from across Nagaland to provide a space for artists to gain recognition and contribute to the local creative economy. “We believe that one day, Nagaland will be filled with entrepreneurs and talented people,” she said.
