Dimapur, June 25 (MExN): Nagaland reported 130 fresh COVID-19 cases from ten districts with a daily positivity rate of 10.65 percent on Friday.
Among the districts, Mon reported 37 new cases, Dimapur 31, Peren 20, Mokokchung 13, Kohima 11, Zunheboto 8, Wokha 6, Phek 2 while Longleng and Kiphire reported 1 each. A total of 68 cases were detected from traced contacts, 51 cases from self tests and random tests, 6 from returnees/travellers, 4 from armed forces/security personnel, and 1 from front line workers, , as per the daily bulletin issued by the state Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP).
The state also reported 2 more deaths from Kohima district. The state’s official death toll now stands at 467. The bulletin also categorised 14 other deaths as ‘not COVID related.’
On the other hand, at least 127 patients who had previously tested positive for the virus recovered on Friday, taking the state’s active case count to 1,508. The cumulative tally of cases in the state now stands at 24,759 with 22,072 recovered cases.
