Dimapur, September 18 (MExN): The department of Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection (LM&CP) and the Dimapur Police jointly carried out surprise checking/inspections of butcher stalls in Dimapur town area on September 18.
A press release by Limatoshi Jamir, Assistant Controller of LM&CP, Dimapur stated that altogether 38 butchers were penalised under the Legal Metrology Act, 2009 and the Nagaland Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Rules 2011. The joint team further assured of such inspections regularly in the days to come.
