Dimapur, July 2 (MExN): A total of 77 new COVID-19 cases were reported from eight districts of Nagaland on July 2, taking the cumulative tally to 25,382. The new cases were detected from 1,145 samples with a daily positivity rate of 6.72 percent.
Dimapur accounted for a majority of the new cases with 32 cases while Kohima reported 16 new cases. Mokokchung had 15 new cases, Wokha 4, Phek and Tuensang had 3 each and Mon and Zunheboto has 2 each.
Meanwhile, 116 recoveries were also reported on Friday, taking the recovery tally to 22,897.
As of July, the number of active cases in the State was at 1,280 with 64 patients currently admitted in the COVID Hospitals and 1,136 under home isolation.
No COVID-19 related deaths were reported in the last 24 hours and the death toll in the State remained at 484, according to the health department’s daily bulletin.
